Applications for NIHR CLAHRC for Northwest London Fellowships
The NIHR CLAHRC for Northwest London is pleased to announce the CLAHRC fellowship programme, which forms part of the CLAHRC programme's Collaborative Learning and Delivery Theme.
The fellows' objectives will be
- to develop skills and expertise in improvement methodology, action research and evaluation;
- to apply this learning to one or more specific projects initiated and led by the fellow;
- to contribute to the ongoing CLAHRC programme by developing their own areas of expertise and skill;
- to develop wide networks to promote the implementation of the CLAHRC programme and help its vision
become a reality by inspiring others to initiate service improvements; and - to contribute to the CLAHRC faculty and mentorship programme beyond their fellowship tenure.

The programme will run over 9 months and will involve a 3 day introductory course in April, followed by a one day a month commitment to training and working with other fellows. In addition fellows will be required to undertake a research and/or improvement project within their organisation. They should expect to commit a minimum of one day a week to their CLAHRC project. Participating organisations will be expected to commit matched funding to the programme with executive approval to release fellows time to the programme. There will be a drop in session at the NIHR CLAHRC CLD Learning Event on Thursday 14th January 2010 for potential fellows which will provide further information and an opportunities for questions on the application process.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to interview (which will include a brief presentation) in early February. Successful applicants will start their fellowships April 1st 2010.
